About Americus, GA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Americus is a lovely and quaint Georgia community, which is literally teeming with history and charm.  There is something different about the culture in this part of the country that makes you feel at home, no matter how much of a stranger you are.   People in this part of the world know their neighbors and spend time getting to know one another.  It’s easy to keep an eye on what is going on in town because the weather in the area is generally moderate “rocking chair weather.”

When it comes to food, this part of the world may be best known for the peaches, but there are some dining delights that may comfort you as well as surprise you. The best example of a twist on the classics is the menu at Rosemary and Thyme . A reviewer said, “The menu has changed and become southern friendly while still being more than home cooking! We each loved our food and the service was great! The whole evening was relaxed and fun.” The restaurant has something for every season and every appetite.  Whether you are popping in for a lunch salad and sweet tea in the summer or settling in for a rib-sticking meal to warm you from the cool of winter, there is something on the menu that will delight you.

This is the home of so much history.  Some of the best moments in American history have happened in this part of the nation.  There have also been some darker points in history that have played out in Georgia.  While in the area, you can (and should) explore the towns and communities for the many traces of the Antebellum south as well as the Civil Rights history.  The Civil Rights Era in Americus was a time of great turmoil and violence.  It was not a proud time in the history of this town but it is an important historical reality that should be explored. A store was bombed in uptown Americus in 1957 and MLK, Jr. spent a night in the city’s jail.
